Building social value (BSV) monitoring

We incorporate social value principles into our frameworks in a number of ways, including a requirement that each scheme assesses how it contributes to delivering social value.

This ensures that all contracts are compliant with both Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 6/20, for the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015) (PDF, 54KB), and PPN 002, for the Procurement Act 2023 (PA 2023) (PDF, 249KB),  and PPN 026, the Social Value Model.

We provide standardised data for commissioners and MHA+ suppliers to use for schemes, to evidence social value outputs, and to meet their social value policy themes and outcomes.

There has been regular monitoring of the MHA+ building social value priorities (set in 2021, and refreshed in 2023) that have been achieved for Medium Schemes Framework (MSF) projects. This is captured on the MSF BSV priorities tracker spreadsheet.
