22 May and 5 June – Land Drainage Law with IQ Legal Training – NOW FULLY BOOKED

Two training days on Land Drainage Law, delivered by Ian Quayle of IQ Legal Training, with two of our Service Improvement Group (SIG)s – the Flood Water Management SIG and Highways Asset Management SIG. If there is interest in further sessions, contact our SIG Coordinator, Kay Smith.

Wednesday 27 May – A2 Sydenham Bypass Resurfacing Scheme with Amey

Amey present a detailed case study on the A2 Sydenham Bypass resurfacing scheme in the Belfast metropolitan area, exploring the many challenges of delivering a resurfacing scheme on a road with an existing concrete slab foundation. The scheme also incorporated drainage and safety barrier improvement works.

Wednesday 10 June – Network Management Plans with AECOM

AECOM explore how Network Management Plans can support positive change in major urban areas through effective network, kerbside and demand management policies.

Tuesday 16 June – Permeable Paving with COLAS, Brett and Kiacrete

Chaired by AECOM, this session brings together leading suppliers to explore the full range of permeable paving solutions, covering porous asphalt, pervious concrete and permeable concrete pavers.

Wednesday 17 June – Biodiversity Net Gain with Waterman Aspen

As Biodiversity Net Gain becomes a mandatory requirement within the planning system, Local Planning Authorities (LPAs) face growing pressure to assess increasingly complex and technical submissions. Led by experienced ecological specialists, this session provides practical guidance for LPA planners, ecologists and decision-makers on what constitutes a high-quality, policy-compliant BNG submission and how to identify common shortcomings with confidence.

Wednesday 24 June – Geotechnics with Amey

An essential discussion on this critical branch of civil engineering, exploring how soil and rock mechanics apply to highway infrastructure. Further details to be confirmed.
