MHA+ at the CIHT Awards 2026

MHA+ Framework Manager Lucy recently attended the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) Awards 2026 at the Lancaster Hotel, London, as a guest of Galliford Try, joining colleagues from West Midla nds Combined Authority (WMCA) and Transport for West Midlands (TfWM).

The prestigious annual awards celebrate innovation, professionalism and collaboration across the highways, transportation and infrastructure sector. This year’s ceremony was hosted by Justin Webb, long-serving presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, with a guest address from Antonia Williams, Director General for Road Transport at the Department for Transport.

It was a proud evening for MHA+ members and framework suppliers. West Midlands Combined Authority took home the CIHT Research Award for “The Economic and Social Lifeline: Making the Case for Bus Investment,” a compelling study making the case for sustained investment in bus services and their wider social and economic value.

Galliford Try’s “Ashbourne Reborn: Town Centre Transformation” received a Commendation, further recognition for a project that has already drawn praise at regional level. Multiple ADEPT Live Labs 2 projects also received Commendations, reflecting the breadth of innovation being delivered across the sector.

Congratulations to all winners, commended projects and nominees. Events like these remind us why collaboration and ambition matter in shaping the future of transport and infrastructure.
