Looking Back at Our Annual Event 2025
Our 2025 Annual Event was a great success, bringing together MHA+ members and their supply chains for a day of collaborative learning and networking.
The event featured expert speakers, real-world case studies and interactive workshops led by industry specialists, with a focus on digital innovation and environmental sustainability in the highways sector.

Keynote Speakers
The keynote speakers were John Lamb of the UK Roads Leadership Group (UKRLG) and Simon Wilson of the Future Highways Research Group (FHRG), who shared strategic insights on the future of highways and infrastructure, including preparation for extreme weather events.
Sessions and Workshops
The event offered a broad and thought-provoking programme covering some of the most pressing issues in highways and infrastructure today.
Digital Showcase and Workshops
Our Digital Working Group hosted engaging sessions with member case studies on digital engineering, new ways of working and AI implementation in practice, alongside workshops exploring practical applications across the sector.
Resilience Workshops
Expert-led sessions examined practical approaches to flood preparedness and highways resilience, drawing on real-world case studies from Nuneaton, Mansfield and Worcestershire, as well as network planning strategies.
Environment versus Growth
Workshop discussions explored the balance between development ambitions and environmental protection, including the challenges and opportunities presented by biodiversity net gain requirements.
Low Carbon Materials
This session shared the latest findings from the ADEPT Live Lab 2 trials, alongside innovative materials that can support carbon reduction and improved efficiencies across highways operations.
A Sense of Place
This session looked at how we manage the built environment inclusively, ensuring our roads and public spaces work for all communities.
Supplier Marketplace and Networking
All MHA+ framework suppliers were present in a dedicated networking space throughout the day, giving participants the opportunity to connect with framework and delivery managers and strengthen relationships across the supply chain.
Annual Awards 2025
The event also saw the return of our popular Best Use of Technology Awards, with members voting on the day for winners across three categories: Environment, Safety, and Efficiency.
