A one day MHA workshop – led by Atkins, who have particular expertise in asset usage, maintenance and investment. The MHA have commissioned this event (free to members) to assist them in preparing for the new national code of practice and in particular the development of a risk based approach to highway service delivery

The workshop content includes:

  • Introduction to the new Code of Practice and review of recommendations;
  • An exercise to consider which recommendations should be implemented and their corresponding timescales.
  • Introduction to the risk based approach;
  • Identification of highest priority areas to address
  • Requirements for key stakeholder engagement;
  • Consideration of sources of evidence, location and requirements;
  • Sharing of good practice;
  • Agreement of next steps, areas of potential collaboration, and development of implementation plans.
