James Gunn AECOM technical lead on the drafting of the Standards, together with other authors of the Standards will be presenting on their specific areas of expertise (e.g. water quality, landscape, biodiversity)

The presentation will start with an introduction on the need for National Standards. AECOM will then give a brief summary of how the Standards were developed to reach the final issued version and how the Standards work (e.g. format and wording of the Standards). AECOM will then talk about the Principles of the Standards (Natural Approach to management water, early and integrated design and links to development planning). They will then spend time explaining each Standard and accompanying requirements, the impact and benefits that the main clauses bring.
